Musings from past
Confession: It’s one of those times when I’m clueless about what to write. My creativity well seems to be running dry. One day, a good friend asked me if I auto-schedule my newsletter postings weeks ahead. Little did she know that not only do I not prepare weeks in advance, but it’s mostly Thursday nights when I start to write!
You see, writing this newsletter is not a chore for me. It’s a creativity exercise that helps me make a connection with myself and with you, my lovely readers. So when the world sleeps, the tranquility of silence helps me think. It’s when I become one with myself and write straight from my heart. All the good things I have been reading throughout the week, all the beautiful experiences I have had with my family, they all seem to come together in these late night hours of Thursday night.
Maybe this week, I didn’t read much. Maybe this week, work occupied most of my mind. No matter what the reason, I don’t have anything share-worthy for you today. Luckily, I have a little something from my somewhat creative past days. Hope you enjoy it. Wishing you and me both a lovely weekend and a creativity refill. ❤️
Musings on an evening run from Tue, 26-Apr-2022.
One with the road, one with the trees
One with the birds, one with the sea
One with the clouds, one with the breeze
On this run on the East Coast
I feel one with me.
One with the sun, one with the woods
One with the heat, one with the shade
One with the others, one with none
On this run in the Cicada woods
I feel one with me.
One with the runners, one with the walkers
One with the chirpy kids, one with the strolling oldies
One with the biking families, one with the lonely lake
On this run on the East Coast
I feel one with me.
One with the flying kites, one with the blue skies
One with the ocean blues, one with the lush greens.
As I sprint down the green bridge
And push hard to climb up back
As I run past the food courts
To avoid the seafood smells
As I breathe deep through the trails
To soak in the woods
I feel one with this East Coast
I feel one with me.
