Happy I stumbled across this! This reminds me of a quote I love that says, "If I had it all figured out today there would be nothing to learn tomorrow" or something along those lines ... I often wonder when I'm going to arrive at the figured-it-out place. LOL. I won't. t's a hamster wheel.
Hi Mika, so true! I just read your post, "Are you still asking "what do I want to do when I grow up?" and I can relate to it so much. ā¤ļø It sure is comforting to know we're not the only ones trying to figure things out.
Iām glad it resonated. We often doing our ourselves in positions where we are beginners again, so starting Substack is so so exciting, but it can quickly lead to overwhelm if youāre not careful.
I felt this way, Prachi, for the last 2 years or so. Just felt like I was treading water trying to survive, watching my savings dwindle away little by little. I'm starting to come out of it now, but it was difficult.
Thank you for sharing about your struggle. It's weirdly comforting to know that we are not the only ones trying to figure things out. You keep going strong, Tom, and keep inspiring us with your stories. ā¤ļø

Iām going to steal that quote soon after I figure out who said it š Thanks for sharing. It sums it up so well ā¤ļø
I wrote about this too. Itās an unsettling thing to go through when people around you seem to be confidently going towards their goals.
I love knowing that Iām not the only one trying to figure it out.
Also, we do have a knowing, it just getās diluted and we get distracted. The work is in making space for the knowing.
